Editorial policy

The people who run the CHENGU catalog write the pages on chengustore.com. This is how a fact ends up on one.

Counts, sizes and materials

Piece counts, capacities, lengths, materials and colors come from our own product data. When two descriptions of the same pack disagree, we print the more careful figure or leave the figure out. Price per piece is worked out on our side from the pack price and the count.

The photographs and the home page film show our products. Pictures with slogans, arrows or size charts printed over them are kept off the site.

What we do not claim

We say what a product is made of, how big it is and how many come in the pack. We do not promise how many uses a disposable piece survives, we do not call a toy safe for an age its label does not give, and we do not say a cup or a pick is dishwasher safe unless its own product data says so.

Guides and sources

The quantity guide and the journal cite public bodies where safety comes up, such as small parts and food contact. We read each source before citing it, and the date we read it is printed beside it. This is general information about party supplies, kitchen tools and small household goods. Keep small parts away from children under three, follow the age grade on every toy, and follow the directions on the label for anything that touches food or skin.
